My son was born a few days before Christmas. I spent the first six weeks of his life cuddling on the couch with my bundle of joy, watching Netflix and eating comfort food. At my six week checkup, I had a harsh reality check; I hadn't lost any more weight since having Sam. It was time for a lifestyle change. Sam and I began going on walks every day. If the weather was bad, we would walk in the mall. I also started making healthier food choices and eventually working out. The weight started to melt off.
As my maternity leave came to end, I began to panic. How was I going to remain active and manage my weight when I returned to my 9–5 job? I no longer would have the option of going on three mile walks midday while Sam napped.
That's when I started using my UP MOVE. I can track my steps at work. Having my UP MOVE clipped to my pants all day is a constant reminder to make healthy choices. It reminds me to take the stairs instead of the elevator and snack on carrots instead of chips. I've been back to work for a couple of weeks now and I'm almost back to my pre-baby weight, feeling stronger and more energized than ever, and still loving time with my baby.
