Connecting UP with Apple's Health App

You can setup your UP app to read and write your steps and sleep data through Apple's Health app. This enables support for using your iPhone (4s or later) or Apple Watch as your tracker. Note that the data displayed in UP will start from the time you enable access to Health and will not include historical data.

To allow UP to read and write data with Apple's Health app, follow the steps below:

  1. Open the UP app, access the left menu, tap on "Help & Settings" at the bottom of the page, then tap on "Health Access".

  1. Toggle the "Connect to UP" switch ON. If it's the first time you're setting up a connection to Apple Health, you will see the "Health Access" page appear. Toggle the switches on to allow UP to read and write steps and sleep data from Apple health. Hello

If you have previously denied access or accidentally hit "Done" without turning on your read and write permission, you will need to go to the Apple Health app to enable access. To do so:
  1. Open your Health app, and tap "Sources" in the bottom menu, and then tap on the UP app.
