Alarms and Alerts

UP offers alarms, alerts and reminders to help you stay on track towards achieving your step and sleep goals. These features are optional, and can be easily adjusted at any time within the UP App. 

 

Reminders

The Reminders feature allows you to choose specific times for your band to remind you to go to sleep, workout, eat a meal and take medicine, in addition to providing the ability to create custom reminders. You can set up to 4 different reminders at a time.

iOS

To set a Reminder on iOS:

  1. Tap Reminders from the right-hand menu of the UP App.
  2. Select a Reminder type (Bedtime, Workout, Meal, Pill or Custom).
  3. Next, select which days of the week you’d like to receive the reminder then choose the exact time of day you’d like to receive the reminder.
  4. For Bedtime reminders, the Prepare for Bed option allows you to receive a preliminary reminder up to 60 minutes before your bedtime.
  5. Tap the checkmark icon when finished then twice more from the Reminders screen to set the reminder.
  6. Your reminder will be saved when the UP App next syncs with your tracker.

To edit or disable a Reminder on iOS:

  1. Tap Reminders from the right-hand menu of the UP App.
  2. To turn off a reminder completely, slide the reminder button to the left then tap the checkmark icon.
  3. To edit a reminder, tap on it to make changes then tap the checkmark icon when finished.
  4. Tap the checkmark icon twice more from the Reminders screen to confirm your changes.
  5. Your updated reminder will be saved when the UP App next syncs with your tracker.

Android

To set a Reminder on Android:

  1. Tap Reminders from the right-hand menu of the UP App then tap Add Reminder.
  2. Select a Reminder type (Bedtime, Workout, Meal, Pill or Custom).
  3. Next, select which days of the week you’d like to be reminded and the exact time you’d like to receive the reminder.

Activity Alerts

Activity Alerts are push notifications from the UP App sent to your mobile device that help you stay up-to-date on your step progress.

The Progress Update alert notifies you each time you’ve hit a certain step threshold—in intervals of 1,000 steps. The Move Summary alert provides a daily push notification detailing how many steps you've taken—at whatever time you choose.

iOS

To set an Activity Alert on iOS:

  1. Tap Activity Alert from the right-hand menu of the UP App.
  2. Slide the Enable Alert button to the right to turn on Activity Alert.
  3. Tap on Progress Update and choose a step interval for the alert. 
  4. Next, tap on Move Summary and choose which time you’d like to receive your daily step notification. 
  5. Tap the checkmark icon when finished then once more from the Activity Alert screen to save your alert. 

To edit or disable an Activity Alert on iOS:

  1. Tap Activity Alert from the right-hand menu of the UP App.
  2. To turn off Activity Alert completely, slide the Enable Alert button to the left then tap the checkmark icon.
  3. Alternatively, tap Progress Update and/or Move Summary to edit either alert then tap the checkmark icon to confirm your changes.
  4. Tap the checkmark icon once more from the Activity Alert screen to save your changes.

Android

To set an Activity Alert on Android:

  1. Tap Activity Alert from the right-hand menu of the UP App.
  2. Slide the Enable Alert button to the right to turn on Activity Alert.
  3. Tap on Progress Update and choose a step interval for the alert then tap OK.
  4. Tap on Move Summary and choose which time you’d like to receive your daily step notification then tap OK.
  5. Lastly, tap the checkmark icon to save your alert.

Idle Alerts

Your band tracks both your active and idle time, providing a complete view of your daily movement. The Idle Alert feature was designed to keep you active by sending a gentle vibration to your tracker whenever you’re idle for a specified period of time.

iOS

To set an Idle Alert on iOS:

  1. Tap Idle Alert from the right-hand menu of the UP App.
  2. To turn on Idle Alert, slide the Enable Alert button to the right. 
  3. Choose how often you’d like your band to alert you when inactive. 
  4. Next, select the time range you’d like the Idle Alert to be active then tap the checkmark icon.
  5. Tap the checkmark icon once more from the Idle Alert screen to confirm your choices.
  6. Your Idle Alert will be saved when the UP App next syncs with your tracker.

To edit or disable an Idle Alert on iOS:

  1. Tap Idle Alert from the right-hand menu of the UP App.
  2. To turn off the Idle Alert completely, slide the Enable Alert button to the left.
  3. Alternatively, tap on any of the fields below the Enable Alert button to edit the alert then tap the checkmark icon when finished.
  4. Tap the checkmark icon once more from the Idle Alerts screen to confirm your changes.
  5. Your updated Idle Alert will be saved when the UP App next syncs with your tracker.

Android

To set an Idle Alert on Android:

  1. Tap Idle Alert from the right-hand menu of the UP App.
  2. Slide the Enable Alert button to the right to turn on Idle Alert.
  3. Select how often you’d like your band to alert you when inactive then tap OK.
  4. Select what time of day you’d like the Idle Alert to begin then tap OK.
  5. Select what time of day you’d like the Idle Alert to end then tap OK.
  6. Tap the checkmark icon to set the alert.
  7. Your Idle Alert will be saved when the UP App next syncs with your tracker.

To edit or disable an Idle Alert on Android:

  1. Tap Idle Alert from the right-hand menu of the UP App.
  2. To turn off the Idle Alert completely, slide the Enable Alert button to the left.
  3. Alternatively, tap on any of the fields below the Enable Alert button to edit the alert then tap OK.
  4. Tap the checkmark icon to confirm your changes.
  5. Your updated Idle Alert will be saved when the UP App next syncs with your tracker.

Smart Alarm

Smart Alarm uses your tracker’s vibration motor to gently wake you when you’re in a light sleep state—up to 30 minutes prior to the wake-up time you specify. You can set as many as 4 alarms to coincide with your sleep schedule throughout the week.

iOS

To add a Smart Alarm on iOS:

  1. Tap Smart Alarm from the right-hand menu of the UP App then tap Add Alarm. 
  2. Specify the Alarm Time, Smart Alarm Window (up to 30 minutes before your Alarm Time) and the days of the week you’d like the alarm to repeat then tap the checkmark icon when finished. 
  3. Tap the checkmark icon twice more from the Smart Alarm screen to set your Smart Alarm.
  4. Your Smart Alarm will be saved when the UP App next syncs with your tracker.

To edit or disable a Smart Alarm on iOS:

  1. Tap Smart Alarm from the right-hand menu of the UP App.
  2. To turn off a Smart Alarm completely, slide the alarm button to the left or tap on any Smart Alert to make edits.
  3. When finished editing the alert, tap the checkmark icon.
  4. Tap the checkmark icon twice more from the Smart Alarm screen to confirm your changes.
  5. Your updated Smart Alarm will be saved when the UP App next syncs with your tracker.

Android

To add a Smart Alarm on Android:

  1. Tap Smart Alarm from the right-hand menu of the UP App then tap Add Alarm.
  2. Next, specify the Alarm Time, Smart Sleep Window (up to 30 minutes before your Alarm Time) and the days of the week you’d like the alarm to repeat.
  3. When finished, tap the checkmark icon.
  4. Tap the checkmark icon once more from the Smart Alarm screen to set your alarm.
  5. Your Smart Alarm will be saved when the UP App next syncs with your tracker.

To edit or disable a Smart Alarm on Android:

  1. Tap Smart Alarm from the right-hand menu of the UP App.
  2. To turn off a Smart Alarm completely, slide the alarm button to the left or tap on any Smart Alert to edit the alert.
  3. When finished editing the alert, tap the checkmark icon.
  4. Tap the checkmark icon once more from the Smart Alarm screen to confirm your changes.
  5. Your updated Smart Alarm will be saved when the UP App next syncs with your tracker.
