App and Tracker Updates

To unlock the most recent UP features and enhancements, make sure you have the newest version of the UP App and the latest firmware for your tracker.

 

Updating the App

Confirm that the UP App on your iOS or Android device is up to date, by following the instructions below. If a newer version is available, you can update the app in just a few taps.

iOS

  1. Search for the UP App in the App Store.
  2. An Update button will appear if the app is out of date. Tap the Update button to download the latest version of the UP App.

Note: If an Open button appears in place of an Update button, the app is already up to date.

  1. Once the update is complete, tap Open to launch the latest version of the UP App.

Android

  1. Search for the UP App in the Google Play Store.
  2. An Update button will appear if the app is out of date. Tap the Update button to download the latest version of the UP App.

Note: If an Open button appears in place of an Update button, the app is already up to date.

 

  1. Once the update is complete, tap Open to launch the app.
   

Updating Your Tracker

Firmware is updatable software for your tracker. Keeping your tracker’s firmware up to date allows you to enjoy new features as they become available.

When a firmware update is available, a blue download arrow will appear in the upper-right corner of the UP home screen.

 

  1. From the UP home screen, tap the blue download arrow in the upper-right corner.

 

  1. From the right menu, tap the blue download arrow in the upper-right corner.

 

  1. From the tracker management menu, tap the blue download arrow to begin the firmware update.

Note: The update will be canceled if the app is closed.

 

  1. A checkmark will appear once the firmware update is complete.
   

Troubleshooting

If you experience issues updating your tracker, we recommend the following:

  • Verify that your mobile device is connected to the Internet by opening a webpage through the device’s web browser.
  • Confirm that your tracker is paired to the UP App, and that Bluetooth is enabled on your mobile device.
  • Fully charge your tracker and check that your mobile device is sufficiently charged.
  • If the UP App freezes while your tracker is being updated, force close the app and try again.
